Meat in my household

While reading this essay I had a few personal connections to some of the examples that Kheel used. I know back home at my house sometimes for dinner we would have rice and stew pretty frequently. While preparing my own plate I sometimes opted out of eating eat with my rice, then my grandmother would say "Why are you not taking meat?" I respond, "I don't want it." I know that my mom sometimes questions my liking of meat. It's a little annoying she does it all the time.
